FinTrack ("we", "us", "our") operates the FinTrack mobile application (the "App"), a user-friendly personal finance and expense tracking tool that helps users record income, manage expenses, set budgets, and track financial habits. We are committed to protecting your personal and financial privacy, and this Privacy Policy complies with Google Play Developer Programme Policies, CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and other applicable data protection laws. By using the App, you agree to our data handling practices as outlined below.
We adhere to the principle of data minimization and only collect information necessary for core services: non-personal device data (device model, OS version) to ensure App compatibility and optimize performance; voluntary personal information (email address, only for optional account registration or password reset); and user-generated financial data (income, expenses, budgets, notes) that you manually enter. We never collect sensitive data such as bank account details, credit card numbers, or unnecessary personal information without your explicit consent.
All collected data is used exclusively to provide and improve our financial tracking services: displaying your financial records, generating simple expense reports, sending budget reminders (if enabled), fixing technical bugs, and responding to your support requests. We never use your financial or personal data for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or any unrelated purposes.
Your financial data is stored locally on your device by default, and no data is uploaded to our servers without your explicit consent (e.g., optional cloud sync). We use industry-standard encryption technology to protect your data from unauthorized access, tampering, or leakage. You can delete your data at any time through the App settings, and uninstalling the App will erase all locally stored related data.
We strictly prohibit selling, renting, or transferring your personal and financial data to third parties for commercial gain. Data may only be disclosed in three limited cases: with your explicit consent, to trusted third-party service providers (bound by confidentiality agreements, only for core functions like crash reporting), or when required by law, court order, or regulatory obligation.
You retain full control over your data: the right to access, edit, export, or delete your personal and financial information at any time; the right to withdraw consent to data collection or use (e.g., revoke permissions) without affecting core services; and the right to lodge a complaint with relevant data protection authorities if you believe your rights have been violated. We provide convenient channels to exercise these rights.
